About

Georgina Docherty

Originally from Warsash, near Southampton, I moved to London after completing my degree in Textile Design.

Since graduating from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Interior Design, I have been managing a London-based gallery specialising in lithograph prints. Alongside this role, I continue to develop and showcase my own artistic practice.

My practice primarily focuses on lino printing, though my background in textiles continues to influence my love for watercolour and acrylics, particularly when creating more detailed and intricate pieces.

My Work...

I specialise in lino printing, using techniques I first learnt at university and have further developed my skills over time. Each print is different, unique even, all hand-printed by me on my favourite 100% long fibred cotton rag paper (150gsm).

Generally I draw inspiration from my immediate surroundings โ€“ the โ€˜ from the pantryโ€™ series is a reflection of the food from the garden and the local produce for sale, both at the roadside and also nearby farm shops.

What I am working on...

Currently I am planning markets/workshops for 2026 and working on new print designs.

Later this year, Iโ€™ll be hosting another Christmas card-making workshop. More details will be announced soon.

What I have been up to...

I have previously sold my work at Battersea Power Station and Gipsy Hill Brewery with Salad Days Market.
