About

Georgina Docherty
Originally from Warsash, near Southampton, I moved to London after completing my degree in Textile Design.
I spent several years working across the art and fashion industries before launching my own creative business.
Currently, I’m pursuing an MA in Interior Design at the Royal College of Art while also showcasing and selling my work at markets throughout the UK.
My practice primarily focuses on lino printing, though my background in textiles continues to influence my love for watercolour and acrylics, particularly when creating more detailed and intricate pieces.

My Work...
I specialise in lino printing, using techniques I first learnt at university and have further developed my skills over time. Each print is different, unique even, all hand-printed by me on my favourite 100% long fibred cotton rag paper (100gsm).
Generally I draw inspiration from my immediate surroundings – the ‘ from the pantry’ series is a reflection of the food from the garden and the local produce for sale, both at the roadside and also nearby farm shops.

What I am working on...
Currently I am planning markets for 2025 and working on new print designs!

What I have been up to...
This year I have sold my work at Battersea Power Station and Gipsy Hill Brewery with Salad Days Market, both events were amazing and it was so great to meet customers and other small business owners.
